SHELLY O'NIELL - President of Rootz Media, Marketing and PR   Management

Shelly O’Neill, President of ROOTZ Media, is truly a trial blazer when it comes to pop and cross-cultural artists, marketing, PR and cross-pollination in the areas of charity and technology. Creating a unique niche for herself in the entertainment industry in 2002, Shelly pioneered an artist network of staple legendry and up and coming artists in which she could cross promote, market, attain corp. partnerships and book on special events world wide. The result was the creation of her own artist network agency, “ROOTZ MEDIA”, which catered to the marketing and PR needs of some of her favorite artists, many of whom she is now proud to call friends. Such legendary artists as Mad Professor Dub music legend, Lee “scratch” Perry (who produced early Bob Marley albums), Hip-Hop Legends such as Phife Dawg of A Tribe Called Quest, DJ Spinderella of Salt N Peppa and Pete Rock, as well as pop icons such as The Black Eyed Peas and Sean Paul. Using her artist network as a platform, Shelly expanded into producing prominent Special Events in Los Angeles, Miami, Jamaica, Hawaii and other locations internationally. Taking on the leadership role in full, Shelly was responsible not only for producing, but also handling all PR, marketing and booking completely in-house. Shelly O’Neill has also worked in the A&R field with her talent roster and A&R’ed ground breaking tracks such as a WIL-I-AM (Black Eyed Peas) remix of The Bob Marley Classic Africa Unite as a special project for The Bob and Rita Marley Foundations. Having been privileged to meet Mrs. Rita Marley during that experience, she credits her with being one of her favorite mentors. Shelly’s success revolves around her impeccable work ethic and the strong bonds she has formed through her extraordinary networking skills and charity work. ROOTZ Media has produced events with NextAid.org, Oxfam, and The Bob and Rita Marley Foundations to name a few.  Shelly lends her considerable talents to our c3:VisionLab™ SOA 2010 team in the areas of PR and Marketing, as well as talent additional procurement.
