• KATE MCCALLUM- Executive Director c3™ and c3:VisionLAB™/Conference Chair
Entertainment and arts professional, Kate McCallum, founded Bridge Arts Media, LLC, a transmedia development and production company based in Los Angeles which specializes in both traditional and new media. She also founded and serves as President of the c3: Center for Conscious Creativity, a non-profit organization, creative collective and think-tank of artists, media-makers, futurists and consciousness experts who examine and explore the impact of art, story and media on culture and society, as well c3 produces and presents artists, concerts, screenings and educational forums relevant to the mission of transformation and the evolution of human potential. Kate is a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the Association for the Scientific Study of Consciousness, the World Future Studies Foundation and is a frequent speaker on the transformative power of the arts and media.
Kate’s 30 year professional background ranges from positions in arts administration, television and feature film production and writing, to development and programming. She holds a BA in Communications and Music from Western Michigan University, and an MA in Consciousness Studies from the University of Philosophical Research, Los Angeles. Kate spent 20 years at Universal Studios and Paramount Studios on prime time commercial series such as; THE EQUALIZER, CRIME STORY, MIAMI VICE, THE HUMAN FACTOR, and LAW AND ORDER. She produced and sold long form content to Showtime, UPN, and NBC (Producer on NBC MOW, “What Kind of Mother Are You”) and served as VP of Creative with Western Sandblast at Paramount TV. Kate joined the Harmony Channel executive team to launch an innovative visual music VoD cable channel on COMCAST to over 11 million homes, then from 2006-2009 she was employed by the Los Angeles Opera in the position of Board Liaison and Executive Administrator to General Manager, Plácido Domingo.
• ALEXANDRA SOKOL - Conference Executive Producer
Alexandra Sokol, SOA 2010 Executive Producer, Brand Strategist and Managing Partner of the IMBrand Group (a brand strategy and communications company with a focus on entertainment, high-tech, sustainable technology and green business clients), has over eighteen years proven experience in the fields of Business and Brand Strategy, Corporate Communications, Marketing and Advertising, Conference Development and Management, Event Production, Tradeshow Management, Public Relations, Media Development and Production. She is a highly influential team builder with successful project development, management, negotiation, financial management and strategic planning skills. Alexandra has worked with top advertising agencies and marketing firms including Foote Cone & Belding, Ketchum Advertising, George P. Johnson Company, Jack Morton Worldwide, Campos Creative Group, In-Vision Communications and Santeler Marketing Group. Her impressive background of corporate event and media productions includes high profile projects such as: Apple World Wide Developers Conference, MacWorld, Apple Computer product launches, Palm Computing Developer Conference, Comdex, Sony’s 22,000 square foot booth at NAB ’98 (Best of Show Award), WebTV Product Launch, The Kodak/Intel Alliance Launch, NAB, E3 Game Conference, Novartis Pharmaceuticals, Amgen, Hewlett-Packard International Press Events, Visa International Road Tours, The Webby Awards and permanent installations such as the Innovention Building “A Bug’s Life” exhibit at Disneyland, to name a few. Alexandra has also worked on branding and communications projects for Apple Computer Company, , Visa International, Blue Shield of California, Deloitte and Touche, Starbucks, Pixela Corporation, Sony InSystems Inc., Heritage Commerce Bank, Imperial Capital Bank, Hythiam Inc., Snapstream Inc., National Assistance League, AltoWeb and the San Jose School District. In addition, Ms. Sokol has been an Executive Development Producer for MemeStream Media, Inc., a transmedia entertainment development company. She has a strong background in film and cross platform entertainment, which began when working with producer of “Superman” films, Alexandre Salkind. Ms. Sokol prides herself on being a Whole Systems Thinker and strategist whose career spans media, entertainment, integrated marketing, sustainability and eco-urban planning design. Currently Alexandra Sokol has accepted the position of Director of the c3:VisionLAB in order to help steer the development of this exciting global organization.
• ALBERT HASSON- Event Producer
ALBERT HASSON was born and raised in Athens, Greece. He first came to the U.S. as a graduate student at the University of San Francisco, where he earned a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA). His love for San Francisco and career opportunities in the financial world there convinced him to stay beyond and become a life-long California resident (and U.S. citizen). After launching a successful career in finance, Albert fell in love with the world of theatre and ultimately pursued it as a full-time career, first as the General Manager of the Eureka Theatre Company (where - among several other world premieres - he helped commission, develop and produce the first staging of Tony Kushner’s Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning 2-part play Angels in America) and then as Managing Director of the famed Magic Theatre, former theatrical home of Sam Shepard among several other distinguished American playwrights. Albert eventually moved to Los Angeles to pursue film production. Over the last 13 years, he has seen well over twenty different projects to completion as a production manager, line producer and/or producer, including fifteen independent feature films, a handful of award-winning shorts and even an educational video series for UCLA’s Psychology department. He also produced the prestigious Los Angeles Independent Film Festival (now known as the Los Angeles Film Festival) on two separate occasions. While continuing to pursue his varied interests in film, Albert became involved in producing both media content for top executive-level events internationally with an emphasis on technology success stories in developing countries – a pursuit that has given him the opportunity to travel and produce video shoots in over 20 countries on 5 continents. In recent years, he has become increasingly involved in producing corporate event, from international executive keynote addresses to national car tours and a variety of other experiential marketing projects for some well known companies as Jack Morton World Wide, Campos Creative Works and CDG, and with clients including Intel, Hyundai, Suzuki, GM, Acura and Skechers, to name a few.
• ED LANTZ- Technical Adviser
Ed Lantz is an entertainment technology engineer and entrepreneur pioneering immersive cinema, augmented/virtual reality, gesture interactivity and other emerging technologies for next-generation entertainment venues. He is President and CTO of Vortex Immersion Media, Inc., an entertainment company focused on immersive and interactive experiences, and is co-founder of IMERSA, a trade association focused on digital domes and immersive cinema .
• LEXA CARY – Associate Producer & Marketing Manager
A senior event and marketing manager with an extensive background in event planning, sponsorship, marketing, strategic planning, brand strategy, contract negotiation, music festivals, vendor relations, trade show and exhibit management, and talent development. Lexa’s background includes having negotiated, written, executed sponsorship contracts and managing onsite brand activations with major events and music festivals including Bonnaroo, Coachella, SXSW, AFI Film Festival, Santa Fe Film Festival, Santa Barbara Film Festival, Slam Dance, Mile High, Rothbury, Rock on the Range, Summerfest, All Points West,10KL, Stagecoach, Willie Nelson’s 4th of July Picnic, Wakarusa, Gathering of the Vibes, Gen Art Events in LA and NYC, and various Celebrity Gifting Lounges.
• FELIPE P. SOARES- Media Director
Felipe made his first film at 15, and by the time he was 20, he had produced and directed some 30 projects including PSAs, commercials, TV shows, documentaries, and short films. Felipe graduated with honors from Emerson College in Boston, MA, with a degree in film and TV production and Neuropsychology. Felipe is an avid explorer of psychology in media and evolutionary psychology and has written several articles on media theory and the brain, and media theory and the evolving human. Additionally, Felipe spent a year studying clinical psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
For the past ten years, Felipe has worked to perfect the application of the Kubrickian model of production that is aimed at reducing excess production operations to maintain the idea and filmic process centralized to secure clear, precise design, and to ultimately reduce costs. With his vast repertoire of expertise in production, aptitude for detailed research, and keen perception of the connections and untouched parallels between mass media, pop culture, and evolutionary psychology, Felipe can proficiently articulate the steps and measures that bring ideas from conception to completion in their purest physical form.
Highly educated, capable, endlessly curious and interested in the things that make humanity tick, Felipe is positioned as director of production for The ImBrand Group where his job is to oversee all aspects of the production process to ensure effectiveness in execution, outcome, and quality -- he held that same title with soulSpeak Media from 2008-2009. He has directed works for Michael Maddox (fashion runway icon), Kute Blackson (top motivational speaker and life coach), and the Black Eyed Peas.
